Religious liberty update

Carson Holloway, associate professor of political science at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, provides an overview June 27 of religious liberty in America at a luncheon sponsored by the Nebraska Catholic Conference (NCC) and the Thomas More Society at Christ the King Parish in Omaha. Holloway was part of a panel discussion of religious liberty issues, including recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions, with society leaders Matt Heffron, an Omaha attorney, and Ed Morse, a Creighton University law professor in Omaha. Tom Venzor, NCC executive director, also participated. He encouraged the group of about 65 people to stay in the battle for religious liberty, which is being fought in the courts, by lawmakers, and among providers of health care, adoption and other services.
