St. Wenceslaus School adding six classrooms

Archbishop George J. Lucas presided at an all-school Mass celebrating the Lord’s Ascension and then stepped outside May 5 to help break ground on a six-classroom addition to St. Wenceslaus School in Omaha.

The addition will open for classes in fall 2017, and it is part of St. Wenceslaus Parish and School expansions that in coming years will include building a new church.

The archbishop was joined at the school by students and Father Tom Bauwens, pastor, Father Francis Nigli, associate pastor and Patrick Slattery, the archdiocese’s superintendent of schools, among others.
