Outdoor party raises $5,000 for school

A group of young people helping the Christian Urban Education Service (CUES) support three inner-city Catholic schools in Omaha held an outdoor party Sept. 16 and raised more than $5,000 for one of the schools – All Saints School.

About 175 guests enjoyed music, food and drink on the parking lot of the St. Frances Cabrini Parish Center in Omaha, sponsored by the CUES Young Professionals Group, said Kevin Clarke, CUES’ marketing director.

In the months ahead, the young professionals group – formed in November – also will do volunteer work and bring financial assistance to the other schools supported by CUES – Sacred Heart and Holy Name, Clarke said.
