School hosts local blood drive
First time donor, Jarod Podliska - a sophomore at St. Francis High School in Humphrey - gives blood during the school's American Red Cross blood drive March 18. Ten of the 33 students who donated blood were first-time donors, said Julie Tetschner, the K-12 guidance counselor and the National Honor Society sponsor. The drive was open to the public, and students and faculty were encouraged to participate. Seventy-seven units of blood were collected during the drive. Courtesy photo.
