All Saints School honors Blessed Mother

Members of the southeast Omaha community joined students, faculty and staff of All Saints School in Omaha to honor Mary May 5 with a Mass and May Crowning ceremony.

The event began with Mass at St. Frances Cabrini Church and included a public procession for several blocks to St. Joseph Church, where a statue of Mary was crowned with flowers.

The event is a way for students to interact with and share faith with members of the community, and to honor the Virgin Mary in a unique way, school officials said.
