Archbishop McGovern to preside at a Holy Hour for ordinandi and seminarians

Archbishop Michael G. McGovern will preside at a Holy Hour to pray for young men from the Archdiocese of Omaha who will be ordained to the priesthood and transitional diaconate in the coming months.

The Serra Club of West Omaha invites all the faithful to attend the Holy Hour to Pray for Ordinandi and Seminarians on Wednesday, May 20, at 7 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Omaha.

Deacon Michael Figura will be ordained to the priesthood on June 6, and seminarian Caleb Kosch will be ordained to the transitional diaconate on May 29. Seminarian Thomas Matya will be ordained to the transitional diaconate this fall in Rome.

The evening in Omaha will begin with greetings in the church’s narthex at 6:30 p.m. Father Tom Weisbecker, chaplain of the Serra Club of West Omaha, will assist Archbishop McGovern at the Holy Hour, which will include the Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament in a special monstrance blessed by Pope St. John Paul II.
