Back-to-school giveaway Aug. 4

The St. Vincent de Paul Society is holding its annual Back-to-School Basics Giveaway Aug. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Omaha.

 

The event, at the Juan Diego Center, 5211 S. 31 St., provides vouchers for new undergarments and socks for students from Head Start and pre-kindergarten through high school.

 

Parents or guardians can request one $20 voucher per child, while quantities last, by bringing one form of identification such as a Medicaid or Social Security card, Form I-90 or birth certificate for each child.

 

Vouchers are redeemable from Aug. 4 through Sept. 1 at Target stores at 3808 Twin Creek Drive in Bellevue and 6636 N. 73rd Plaza in Omaha.
