Company recognizes parishioner’s charity

A longtime member of St. Patrick Parish in Fremont was recognized March 22 for his philanthropy, such as donating land for St. Patrick Church and helping the parish build the church and Archbishop Bergan Catholic School.

Charlie Diers of Diers Ford Lincoln was one of six Ford Motor Co. automobile dealers from around the world to receive the company’s annual Salute to Dealers award at the National Auto Dealers Association Conference in Las Vegas.

Diers also has been a member of civic organizations, including the Fremont Area Community Foundation and Chamber of Commerce, and a supporter of the Fremont Rotary Club, Fremont Area YMCA, Fremont Health Foundation and other groups.

“His ongoing commitment to making Fremont a better place for all is truly inspiring and we are glad to have Mr. Diers as part of our Ford dealer family,” said Michael Murphy, director of the company’s U.S. dealer relations.
