Discover Catholics Schools Week shines a light on Catholic education

The National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) has designated November 12-18, 2023, Discover Catholic Schools Week, an annual celebration highlighting the benefits of a Catholic education.

Catholic schools across the United States, including northeast Nebraska, provide a learning environment that is welcoming, Christ-centered and instills the value of service to others while maintaining the highest academic standards, according to the NCEA. Most importantly, Catholic schools are committed to partnering with parents, understanding that when parents and schools work together, students are more likely to excel.

Catholic schools welcome students from all backgrounds, and financial assistance is available from a variety of sources, including private and parish-based programs, grants and endowments. Last year, nearly $1.8 million in tuition assistance was provided to elementary and high school students in the Archdiocese of Omaha.
