Former principal honored in Missouri

A former principal of All Saints School in Omaha recently was honored as superintendent of the year in Missouri for his work in Nixa Public Schools in Nixa, Mo.

Stephen Kleinsmith, whose parents are Gerald and Barbara Kleinsmith of St. Gerald Parish in Ralston, was principal of the Omaha school from 1984 to 1988, when it was first formed by St. Francis Cabrini and then-St. Patrick parishes. He accepted his award in memory of the late Father Aloysius McMahon, a priest of the Archdiocese of Omaha Kleinsmith described as "a saint in his own right who taught me, among other things, that ‘God draws straight with crooked lines.’"
