Golf tourney raises $52,000

More than 200 people helped raise just over $52,000 for Roncalli Catholic High School in Omaha at the 29th annual Swing with Pride, A. Len Leavitt Memorial Golf Open.

 

Held Aug. 6 in Omaha, the fundraiser included world-champion boxer Terence “Bud” Crawford of Omaha, who played a round with the Leavitt family.

 

The late A. Len Leavitt started the tournament in 1989 and chaired the event for many years. He died in 1997, but his family continues to help with the tournament.
