Inaugural Nebraska Catholic Day of Giving raises more than $1 million

Catholics across Nebraska came together on May 1 to celebrate and support the state’s many parishes, schools and ministries during the first Nebraska Catholic Day of Giving (NCDG). More than $1 million was raised for 158 organizations across the state.

The 24-hour fundraising event was a joint effort of the Diocese of Grand Island, the Diocese of Lincoln and the Archdiocese of Omaha.

“NCDG was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the impact Catholic organizations have on the entire state,” said Bree Kotulak, Interim Director of the Stewardship and Development Office at the Archdiocese of Omaha. “We are thrilled with the response from so many generous donors who recognize that when you give Catholic, you can do more. We are so thankful for their support.”

More than 3,100 donors logged on to make a gift.
