Irish Fest draws 450 people for gala

Nearly 450 people celebrated St. Patrick’s Day early while helping people in need at the annual Catholic Charities of Omaha’s

Irish Fest dinner and dance March 16 at the Marriott Capitol District in Omaha.

The fundraising event featured silent and live auctions, a raffle, music with The Confidentials, and a video showcasing a person who was helped through Catholic Charities and who now works at one of the organization’s food pantries.

Money raised supports programs and services to more than 80,000 people each year, including help for the poor, hungry, abused, homeless, immigrants and others in need in the community.
