March for Life registration underway

Registration is underway for the 2020 March for Life pilgrimage to Washington, D.C., Jan. 21-26.

Each year, high school students, along with clergy, religious and others from the archdiocese, join hundreds of thousands of pro-life supporters to march in support of the unborn. This year’s march, the 47th annual event, is set for Jan. 24.

Groups from the archdiocese also attend Masses and prayer rallies together, and visit historic sights in Washington and along their routes.

The archdiocesan group will travel in buses from Omaha, Norfolk and West Point.

Scotus Central Catholic Junior/Senior High School in Columbus, and St. Peter Parish and V.J. and Angela Skutt Catholic High School, both in Omaha, are arranging their own groups and transportation.

The registration deadline for the archdiocesan group is Oct. 15. Buses fill quickly so people should register soon at respectlifeomaha.com.

The trip costs $525 per person, and scholarships are available through Oct. 1 from the Respect Life Office. Application forms are available at respectlifeomaha.com.
