MarianFEST builds leaders of tomorrow

More than 600 people gathered to celebrate the 37th annual MarianFEST Feb. 8 in Omaha. FEST, which stands for Funding Education in the Servite Tradition, is the Omaha school’s largest fundraising event of the year, with proceeds benefiting tuition assistance and scholarships for nearly 50 percent of the student body. This year’s event raised nearly $550,000.

This year’s theme, the Big ShinDIG – Constructing the Next Generation of Leaders, was chosen to celebrate construction of the Haddix Academic Center and other renovations to the school. These will be completed by August 2019.

Students participated in the fundraising event by serving as volunteers, photographing the event, checking coats, running auction items and selling raffle tickets.
