Masses at Catholic Cemeteries on Memorial Day

This Memorial Day people across the nation will be remembering, honoring and praying for fallen service members and other deceased loved ones.

Catholic Cemeteries in Omaha will be offering Masses at its five cemeteries, all at 10 a.m. on May 30, Memorial Day.

Archbishop George J. Lucas will preside at an outdoor Mass at Calvary Cemetery, 7710 West Center Road.

Celebrating Masses at the other cemeteries will be Father Michael Grewe at Resurrection Cemetery, 7800 West Center Road; Father John Pietramale at Holy Sepulchre, 4912 Leavenworth St.; Father William Safranek at St. Mary, 3353 Q St.; and Father James Buckley at St. Mary Magdalene, 5226 S. 46th St.

All those Masses will be outdoors, except the one at Resurrection Cemetery, which will be held inside the mausoleum there.
