Math contest draws 25 schools

An annual math contest for archdiocesan schools drew about 300 students from 25 schools April 29 to Christ the King School in Omaha.

It was the biggest turnout in the program’s more than 30-year history, said Lori Eyth, a math teacher at Christ the King who has helped organize the contest at the school the last three years.

The event includes students in fourth through eighth grade taking individual and team tests in two divisions, based on school size. Trophies are awarded at each grade level to the top three schools and the top three individuals.
