More about Casa de Paz

Casa de Paz will be ready for families around Thanksgiving. The only cost will be making certain all sheets and towels provided by Father Kramper are washed and ready for the next guests, and the house is left clean and neat. Laundry soap will be provided.

There will be no guided retreats. It will be a place for families to rest and relax. Father Kramper will be there when he can – weekends he might be away helping with ministry at area parishes.

People can call ahead at 402-355-2015 to find out when Father Kramper might be around, or simply leave a voice message. But the doors will remain open for visitors. “I have angels to guard the place,” Father Kramper said. And there is little of any great value in the house. Even Father Kramper’s collection of 400 styles of piggy banks don’t have any money in them. “They’re all hungry,” he said.

People are invited to visit any time. The challenge will be finding the place. And information about how to reserve a time will be at the house.

On Nebraska Highway 12, at a sign for Powder Creek Lake about eight miles west of Ponca, two miles east of Newcastle, go one mile north, one mile east and one mile north, turn in at the moose sign.
