More than 320 honor priests

More than 320 people gathered at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in Omaha April 20 for the Institute for Priestly Formation’s (IPF) 14th annual Celebration of Priesthood banquet.

Omaha-based IPF, which emphasizes spiritual formation for diocesan seminarians and priests, honored Father Patrick O’Kane of the Diocese of Sioux City, Iowa, with its St. John Paul II Award for Priestly Service.

Father O’Kane is celebrating his 40th anniversary as a priest this year, and his ministry has included serving as a spiritual director for IPF’s summer program for seminarians and designing a curriculum review process for the institute.
