Omaha Symphony, Cathedral Choir collaboration wows sold-out crowd

The first concert in a collaboration between the Omaha Symphony and the St. Cecilia Cathedral Choir played to a sold-out crowd. “Vivaldi’s Gloria” allowed those in attendance to witness the beauty and holiness that Catholics offer to God through art.

The Sept. 18 concert was held in the cathedral and showcased its outstanding acoustics and the landmark Martin Pasi pipe organ.

The next concert in the collaboration is “A Festival of Christmas Brass!” on Thursday, Dec. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the cathedral. The evening will feature carols, original compositions, stories, and works by Morten Lauridsen, Gala Flagello, Anthony DiLorenzo, J.S. Bach and others.
