Mass, a rosary procession, Eucharistic adoration.
For 27 years participants at the Archbishop’s Vigil for Life have turned to prayer to give thanks to God for the gift of life and to plead for an to end abortion, euthanasia and other attacks against that gift.
The Sept. 12 vigil at St. Mary Church in Bellevue was no different.
About 130 people worshiped at an 8 a.m. Mass celebrated by Archbishop Michael G. McGovern. Many went on to pray the rosary as they walked in procession about two blocks to an abortion clinic. Led by the archbishop, they continued praying at the clinic and on the way back to the church. Then they prayed during the Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
The Vigil for Life has been an annual tradition of peaceful, prayerful pro-life witness.
