Community presentation to explain proposed pro-abortion ballot initiative

A community presentation that examines a pro-abortion ballot initiative that would include a right to late-pregnancy abortion in Nebraska’s constitution is being held Saturday, May 4, at St. Robert Bellarmine in Omaha.

Marion Miner, associate director of pro-life and family policy at the Nebraska Catholic Conference, will explain the initiative’s terminology and implications. He will also discuss the consequences if the ballot initiative passes, including its impact on parental rights, health and safety protections for pregnant women and decisions regarding a baby’s vitality.

Katherine Burow of the Abortion Dialogue Academy will speak about having effective and fruitful conversations with others about the amendment.

The event, which begins at 9 a.m. in the Mainelli Center with a light breakfast and rosary, is free. Please RSVP here.
