Encountering Jesus

Retreat offers opportunity to slow down, reflect and heal

The Archdiocese of Omaha will hold a healing retreat for anyone wanting to heal past hurts and reclaim their identity as a son or daughter of God.

The Come to Me Healing Retreat will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 12:30 to 5 p.m. at the St. Elizabeth Ann Parish Center at 5419 N. 114th Street in Omaha.

“We all have wounds or hurts that get in the way to fully being our authentic self: sons and daughters of the Father,” said Mary Beth Hanus, director of the Archdiocese of Omaha’s Victim Outreach and Prevention Office.

“The Come to Me Retreat is a rare opportunity to slow down and reflect on and receive the healing Jesus wants for us,” Hanus said. “Jesus told us He is present when two or more gather in His name. He will definitely be present at this retreat!”

Archbishop George J. Lucas will offer the opening prayer. The afternoon will include a talk by Deacon Tim McNeil on God’s gift of restoration and mercy through a relationship with Jesus Christ. There will also be time for personal reflection and prayer.

Father Andy Sohm will offer Reconciliation, the Sacrament of Healing and Mass – all designed to help participants embrace the graces of God’s merciful love.

All are invited to remain for fellowship following the retreat.

For more information on the retreat, contact the Victim Outreach and Prevention Office at (402) 827-3798 or make your reservation here by March 21, 2025.
