Society of St. Vincent de Paul Omaha names a new executive director

Jill Lynch-Sosa has been named executive director of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Omaha (SSVP).

Kevin Grode, president of the board of directors of SSVP, called Lynch-Sosa a perfect fit.

Lynch-Sosa comes from the Heartland Workers Center, where she served as senior director of regional operations from 2019-2022. Before that, she worked for almost a decade in several leadership roles at Nebraska Medicine.

“While new to SSVP, Jill’s education, work and life experiences – including her extensive contributions to the underserved – fit perfectly with the SSVP mission of serving our neighbors in need,” Grode said.

Lynch-Sosa replaces Marty Smith, who retired on December 31, 2022. Her first day is on Monday.

SSVP is a network of friends, inspired by Gospel values, growing in holiness and building a more just world through personal relationships with and service to people in need.
