Thousands join in the annual Nebraska Walk for Life

The state’s three bishops attended the Nebraska Walk for Life on Saturday, Feb. 1, in downtown Lincoln. The annual walk hosted by Nebraska Right to Life celebrates life and draws thousands of supporters every year.

The morning began with Mass celebrated by Bishop Joseph G. Hanefeldt of Grand Island at St. Mary Catholic Church near the State Capitol. Bishop James D. Conley of Lincoln, Archbishop George Lucas and other priests concelebrated. A short rally on the north steps of the State Capitol followed Mass. From there, participants walked to the Cornhusker Marriott on 13th Street.
