Two more milestone anniversaries

After deadline for the Aug. 12 edition featuring religious sisters and brothers with ties to the archdiocese who are celebrating milestone anniversaries, the Catholic Voice was informed about two additional religious sisters who should be honored. Those sisters, both celebrating 70-year anniversaries, their religious order and a summary of their service to the church:

SISTERS OF SAINT MARY OF NAMUR

SISTER ANN VINCENT KUCIREK (Frances Kucirek)

Birthplace: Omaha

Non-archdiocesan assignments: Teacher, principal and superior in schools in Fort Worth, Beaumont, Arlington, Dallas and Wichita Falls in Texas and Hollister, Calif.; pastoral ministry in Knoxville and Rhineland, Texas; work with Catholic Charities and the order’s development office in Fort Worth.

SISTERS OF CHARITY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

SISTER MARIE NEFF
(Charles Marie)

Archdiocese assignment: Teacher at former St. Bridget School in Omaha, 1954-56.

Non-archdiocesan assignments: Teacher and principal in Lincoln, San Francisco, Petaluma, Calif., Kansas City, Mo., and Wichita, Kan. Served on office staff of farm supply company in Bonner Springs, Kan.
