Faithful flock to Marian-themed Hispanic Congress

More than 900 people gathered for the Archdiocese of Omaha’s annual Hispanic Congress (El Congreso) over the July 29-30 weekend at Roncalli Catholic High School in Omaha. The theme this year was Marian: "Be it done to me according to your word." Organized by the archdiocese's Hispanic Ministry Office, the event included inspirational music and speakers, Mass with Archbishop George J. Lucas, vendors and food. The sacrament of Reconciliation also was available. Programs and entertainment were geared for a variety of ages.
