WWME searches for longest-married couple

Worldwide Marriage Encounter (WWME), a faith-based marriage enrichment program, has begun its ninth annual search for the longest married couple.

Entry is open to all husband and wife couples, regardless of religious affiliation. Awards will be presented to the state and national winners in June, National Marriage Month.

The national winners will be formally recognized in person at a ceremony in their home states. Last year’s top winners were Mota and Avanelle Young from Bowling Green, Ky., who were married over 81 years. The winners from Nebraska were Raymond and Margaret Davis of Bassett, married over 75 years.

Nominations may be submitted to www.wwme.org until May 14. For more information, contact Bruce and Veta Hungerford at 402-760-0133 or bvhungerford@threeriver.net.
