Catholic Charities asks for support for its biggest fundraiser, Irish Fest

Catholic Charities of Omaha invites you to have a wee bit of fun and help support its work by attending the organization’s 32nd Annual Irish Fest on Saturday, March 16.

The nonprofit also is welcoming sponsors for the event, which will be held at the Omaha Marriott Downtown in the Capital District, 222 N. 10th St.

Irish Fest is Catholic Charities’ largest fundraiser. The money raised will help people with fundamental needs through the organization’s food pantries, domestic violence shelter, behavioral health services, microbusiness program and more.

Catholic Charities serves as “the hands and feet of Jesus Christ to all who come to us.”

The evening includes cocktails at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m., a live auction at 8 p.m., followed by dancing. Music will be presented by Finest Hour.

Catholic Charities will also present its Father Mel Merwald Award, named after the organization’s late executive director.

Reservations for Irishfest can be made for individuals for $150, couples for $300 and a table of 10 for $2,000.

Sponsorships, which will be recognized at Irish Fest, range from $5,000 to $25,000 and must be submitted by Feb. 16.
