Anti-euthanasia activist to speak in Columbus

An anti-euthanasia activist from Canada will speak in Columbus March 19, Hastings March 18 and Lincoln March 20.

 

The Columbus Area Right to Life and other Nebraska Right to Life affiliates are among the sponsors of Alex Schadenberg of Ontario, executive director of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition.

 

Barb McPhillips, co-president of Columbus Area Right to Life and pro-life coordinator for St. Anthony Parish in Columbus, said Schadenberg will bring an international perspective to an issue that hits close to home in Nebraska, where legislation to allow euthanasia has been introduced.

 

The talk in Columbus, which is free, will be at 7 p.m. at the VFW Club, 2720 23rd St.
