Notre Dame sisters to celebrate legacy

The Notre Dame Sisters’ 24th annual Celebration of Spirit Dinner March 18 in Omaha will carry the theme “Celebrating a Legacy, Providing a Bright Future,” honoring the order’s history of faith and service.

Nancy Halstead Bohnenkamp, a member of St. Philip Neri-Blessed Sacrament Parish in Omaha and co-owner of Harold’s Koffee House in Florence, will be honored for her legacy of faith and service with the sisters’ Mother Qualberta Service Award.

An active member of her parish and the broader community, Bohnenkamp also has helped establish a restaurant, which was founded by her parents, that is like a home, where all are received with warmth, good food and hospitality, the sisters said.

The fundraising dinner at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish’s Mainelli Center costs $85 a person, $680 for a table of eight. Reservations can be made at 402-455-2994 or online at notredamesisters.org.
