Deacon Assignments

All diaconal assignments were effective on May 8th.

MODERATOR OF THE CURIA

Effective March 29th, Fr. Scott Hastings, vicar general (with duties as vicar for clergy), tribunal director, and pastor, St. Joseph Parish in Springfield, was appointed moderator of the curia. Effective July 1st, he concludes his service as director of the Metropolitan Tribunal while
retaining the office of defender of the bond.

REAPPOINTMENTS

The following have been reappointed to their offices, their assignments having concluded by law
on March 31st:

Effective May 7th, all deans (vicars forane), officers, and members of the Priests’ Council, were reappointed, completing the terms which were in force prior to March 31st.

Effective May 7th, Fr. Scott Hastings was reappointed as vicar general (with duties as vicar for clergy).

Effective May 7th, Fr. Daniel Kampschneider, retired, was reappointed as vicar for retired priests.

Effective May 7th, Fr. Ryan Lewis, pastor, St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, Omaha, and judge of the Metropolitan Tribunal, was reappointed as delegate for ecumenical and interreligious affairs.

Effective May 14th, Elizabeth Sondag, Vice-Chancellor, director of pastoral planning, and judge of the Metropolitan Tribunal, was reappointed as delegate for female religious communities.

MINISTERS OF THE METROPOLITAN TRIBUNAL

Fr. James de Anda, judicial vicar, is reappointed for a three-year term. Fr. de Anda assumes the duties of director of the Metropolitan Tribunal effective July 1st.
