Christ Child Society raises $72,000

The Christ Child Society of Omaha raised about $72,000 at a May 23 dinner to benefit its programs, including creating packages with blankets, clothes, diapers and other items for needy newborn children.

Honorary chairman of the dinner at the Happy Hollow Club in Omaha was Father John Pietramale, pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Omaha, who was recognized for his years of service to the society.

Guest speaker was Father James Keiter, board chairman, pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish in Fordyce, St. Joseph Parish in Constance and St. Boniface Parish in Menominee, and a teacher at Cedar Catholic Junior/Senior High School in Hartington and administrator at West Catholic School in Fordyce.
