CSM faculty to receive UNO Alumni Award

Marian Standeven, vice president for mission integration at College of Saint Mary (CSM) in Omaha, has won the 2019 College of Public Affairs and Community Service (CPACS) Alumni Award for Excellence in Public Service from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO).

The award is presented to UNO alumni who have distinguished themselves through their contributions to the public good. Standeven, a 1981 UNO graduate, went on to earn her master’s degree in counseling psychology from Loyola University in Baltimore, Md.

In her current role, she is responsible for ensuring the understanding and application of the college mission in all facets of the CSM community.

She also worked in mission integration for over 30 years for CHI Health’s 13-hospital system in Nebraska and Iowa, serving as the director of the departments of mission integration, ethics, pastoral services and language access.

She was honored at an event at UNO’s Thompson Alumni Center on March 5.
