Dinner to benefit Notre Dame sisters

The Notre Dame Sisters in Omaha will hold their annual Czech-style Pork Dinner April 23 in Omaha from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Knights of Columbus councils at Mary Our Queen and St. Philip Neri parishes in Omaha sponsor the event, with Knights preparing and serving the food.

Each year, the dinner raises about $12,000 for the sisters’ retirement fund.

The event will feature live Czech music provided by the sisters’ own band, with help from the Sisters of Mercy. They also will sell crafts, including embroidery and crochet items, and baked goods, including kolaches made by the sisters.

The dinner at the St. Philip Neri Activities Center at 31st and Mormon streets in Omaha will cost $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Drinks and desserts are included, and take-out is available.
