Festa del Leone set for April 14

Roncalli Catholic High School’s 29th annual Festa del Leone fundraising dinner April 14 will include honoring financial backers who helped establish the school’s Benilde Program for students with learning challenges.

 

Bruce and Ellen Karsk of St. Margaret Mary Parish in Omaha will receive the Pope John XXIII Award at the event, which will be held at the school and feature silent and live auctions.

 

Online bidding will be used for the first time, and a lottery includes a $5,000 cash prize. Proceeds will fund tuition assistance.

 

Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer, a Roncalli graduate, will be the emcee. The social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m.
