High school students spend day in service

More than 770 students, faculty, staff and parent volunteers at V.J. and Angela Skutt Catholic High School in Omaha worked Oct. 4 at homeless shelters, food pantries, retirement centers and agencies serving people with disabilities as part of the school’s annual Community Involvement Day.

And the service won’t end there. Each homeroom will create an action plan to further help the site students and teachers visited, such as sending Christmas cards and treats, returning to visit or conducting drives for donations, school officials said.
