Night of Knights raises $444,500

Tuition assistance for students, technology to help teachers and construction of a high-tech, multi-classroom building by early next year.

All of those efforts will benefit from $444,500 raised during the 28th annual Night of Knights fundraiser for Mount Michael Benedictine School March 25.

More than 575 people attended "Knights and Beyond: Mount Michael Looks to the Future," at the Strategic Air and Space Command Museum near Ashland.

The event began with Mass and included live and silent auctions, dinner and a program featuring videos by students and a graduate of the school.

Benedictine Abbot Michael Liebl and school President David Peters also recognized Drs. Tom and Evelyn McKnight, and Amy Scott, for their longtime support of the school near Elkhorn. Bob and Amy Freshman, and Jon and Jill Panzer were co-chairs of the event.
