Polish Society announces winners

Two eighth-graders planning to attend Daniel J. Gross Catholic High School in Bellevue won the Polish Heritage Society’s St. John Paul II high school scholarship essay contest by writing about a Polish-Catholic family member who impacted their lives.

Izabelle Krupa of St. Bernadette School in Bellevue and Brendan Chonis of St. Thomas More School in Omaha each received $700 at a ceremony on Divine Mercy Sunday at the Polish Home in Papillion.
