Irish Fest raises nearly $400,000

With the theme "Irish Fest 2017 – A Celtic Classic for 25 Years," Catholic Charities’ annual dinner and dance drew more than 440 people and raised nearly $400,000 for the organization that serves seniors, immigrants and small-business owners, as well as people suffering from hunger and domestic violence.

The March 11 fundraiser in Omaha featured silent and live auctions, Irish music by Ellis Island, a performance by the Craoi na Tire Irish Dancers, and dancing to the music of Pam and the Pearls.

Event co-chairs were Kathryn and Tom Sudyka and Molly and Joe Lang, both couples from St. Cecilia Parish in Omaha. Honorary chairs were Ursula and Mark Treinen of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in Omaha.
