Notre Dame Housing honors ‘difference makers’

Notre Dame Housing, founded in 1996 by the Notre Dame Sisters in Omaha, will honor an organization and an individual at its 2018 Community Difference Maker Awards Luncheon Oct. 25.

Seventy-Five North Revitalization Corp. and Jesuit Brother Mike Wilmot, founder of Gesu Housing, Inc., both in Omaha, will be recognized for their accomplishments in affordable housing.

Tim Kenny, executive director of the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA), will be the keynote speaker and address the need for affordable housing, particularly for older adults. NIFA helped develop funding for low-income Notre Dame Housing apartments about 10 years ago.

The luncheon will be held at the Highlander in Omaha. For more information, call 402-455-2994 or email Scot Adams at sadams@notredamesisters.org.
