Three national winners in education contest

At least two students and an adult in the archdiocese were national winners in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA) education contest this year.

In a submission for Mother Teresa Court 2451, seventh-grader Ryan Wolfe of St. Wenceslaus Parish and School in Omaha was third in photography among sixth- through eighth-graders. And third place for poetry among high school students in a submission for Court 457 in Hartington went to Luke Reifenrath, a junior at Cedar Catholic High School in Hartington and a member of Holy Family Parish’s Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Bow Valley.

Laurie Hergott of Little Flower Court 988 and St. Isidore Parish in Columbus was third in poetry among adult CDA members.

The winners were announced at the CDA national convention July 17 to July 21 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
