Retirees moved by Stations of Cross

Thirty second-graders from St. Gerald School in Ralston used a PowerPoint presentation, readings and prayers March 8 to present the Stations of the Cross to residents of New Cassel Retirement Center and its Franciscan Centre day program.

“This was the best presentation of the Stations of the Cross that I have ever seen,” said resident Betty Goodwin.

Cindy Petrich, president of the New Cassel Foundation, said staff and residents of the retirement home were grateful for the children’s Lenten gift.

“Afterward, the residents held the hands of the young children and thanked them for all their work and preparation,” she said.
