Retreat unites mothers, daughters

Students had an opportunity to communicate, reflect and bond with their mothers during a mother-daughter retreat Feb. 17 at Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart in Omaha.

 

Eleven students and their mothers attended the half-day retreat at the all-girls school.

 

Mothers and daughters enjoyed their time together, said Scott Quinn, theology department chair and retreat organizer.

 

“Most of the students taking part were seniors about to go off to college, so they appreciated the opportunity to talk things over and to learn more about their mothers and their faith journey,” he said.
